Touring the Work of Joel Haas: Sculpture Walk and Studio Tour
Enjoy a lovely Sunday afternoon viewing the ourdoor sculptures of Joel Haas in Wilmont subdivision just east of Meredith College. Following the walk, visit the where Sculptor Joel Haas receives his inspiration and creates his remarkable art. This event is scheduled for August 12, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. This event is limited to only 12 people. If you are interested in attending, please the church office at 919-828-5468.
"Joel Haas' work extends from breathtaking welded steel angels and brightly painted whimsical animals to unique gates, trellises, benches, arbors, and archways in steel for private gardens."
Felting, Woodworking, and a Garden Picnic
Meet at the studios of mother and daughter artists, Rachel Nicholson and Liza Sayer, located next to Cheyney's Nicholson's Capital City Lumber, 4224 Beryl Rd., Fiber Complex Building, Suite B (upstairs) on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
Rachel's vibrant felting contrasts beautifully with Liza's one-of-a-kind furniture and accessories. Bring a bag lunch and we'll end our tour in the shade of one of the lovely trees at the Arbortum.
